Step 1: Qualitative IH Assessment

During this initial step, our senior consultants conduct a structured onsite evaluation to:

• First, identify hazards such as noise, dusts, vapors, fumes, and physical agents
• Next, group employees into Similar Exposure Groups (SEGs) based on tasks and exposures
• Then, rank exposure risks using AIHA and OSHA strategies to decide where to monitor
• Finally, prioritize corrective actions—from engineering controls to PPE requirements

You receive: A written report with SEGs, exposure ratings, and clear recommendations for monitoring or control.

Step 2: Noise & Air Monitoring

Once we complete the assessment, we turn to targeted compliance audits when elevated risks exist:

• Noise Monitoring – We measure noise levels and determine if employees exceed OSHA’s 85 dBA Action Level. If they do, we then help you implement a full Hearing Conservation Program (hearing protection, training, audiometric testing).
• Air Quality Testing – In addition, we collect and analyze samples for dusts, vapors, fumes, and other airborne contaminants. Our results compare directly against OSHA PELs and ACGIH TLVs.
